In case you missed it, last week Bridgeford Trust Company hosted a celebration around the launch of Bridgeford International and a roundtable discussion entitled “Peru, Colombia and Mexico: The Power of U.S. Trusts for Latin American Families.” We had a great time connecting with friends and colleagues from all over South Florida, as well as friends online from around the world for this important discussion that featured experts from across LATAM.
You can watch a recording of the presentation below which provided an update on the social, economic and political forces that are motivating LATAM families, and families around the world in general, to look at the U.S. as the preferred “offshore jurisdiction” for planning solutions. Helmer Arizmendy, President of Bridgeford International, moderated this session with speakers including: Erik Lind, Partner with DLA Piper; Camilo Cortés, Partner with Dentons Cardenas & Cardenas; and Abel Mejía-Cosenza, Partner with Sánchez Devanny.
During the discussion, Helmer referenced a chart that Bridgeford Trust Company has produced comparing the leading U.S. trust jurisdictions. Be sure to take a look at this trust jurisdiction comparison that clearly distinguishes South Dakota as the superior trust jurisdiction in the overall analysis.
